Welcome to the Kruse Kronicle. I am Michael W. Kruse, your host. I live in Kansas City, MO, not far from downtown. I’ve lived in and traveled to other interesting places but I do love K.C!
I’m presently working on book for self-publication that I’ve tentatively titled "Work and the Gospel.” The idea is a collection of essays on work, vocation, and economy.
I have worked in both businesses and in nonprofits. I have master’s degrees in sociology and in business. I just completed eight years of service, the last two years as chair, of the Presbyterian Mission Agency, of the Presbyterian Church, USA, the board that oversees the domestic and international work of the church between biennial General Assemblies. This blog and my book are my tools for integrating what I've learned.
The Kruse Kronicle is a labor of love. Please join me regularly as we contemplate together the intersection of work, the global economy, and Christian mission.
