The interesting thing about this linked post is that it contains (in one handy location) just about everything that concerns me about the Emergent phenomenon.

I think his four part series is just about the best short description I have read. I can't think of anything I disagreed with and I think he did an effective job of steering between Emergent as the answer to all problems and Emergent as reprobate heresy.
