The current seminary model is BROKEN! It has been for a LONG time. I am a Fuller grad. I loved it there. I received a good academic education there but it did little to prepare me for serving as a church pastor.

Vancouver School of Theology has a great model for training pastors. Unfortunately, a person has to be from overseas or serving an "ethnic" congregation to get into the program. It takes about 6 years to get an M. Div. The student is REQUIRED to be in full time ministry at a church during their entire education in their native culture. Everything that is learned is learned in ministry context.

Fuller shoud give this method a look see...
