I keep meaning to report on a post I found a few days ago by Bryan Murley. Bryan is a student doing doctoral work on the Emerging Church. Part of his work will include an analysis of the top fifty most influential blogs. I scrolled down the list and, lo and behold, there was yours truly at about number 37. You can find the info at Emerging Church Research.
It is quite scary to think I might have some "influence" here. Did I mention that over the course of my life, I have closed two businesses, closed two churches, dissolved three non-profit organizations, and I am on the board of a denomination that last year had a net loss of members equivalent to a decent-sized Midwest city (50,000)? Just imagine the possibilities with more influence. We could soon be talking about the Submerging Church. *grin*
Seriously. I wish Mr. Murley well whether or not I stay in his top fifty. I'll look forward to the final product.
i loved the "submerging church" comment!

Way to go Michael! I hope you stay on the list but if there is any hope for PCUSA then, "get off GAC!" ;)
