I make endless efforts to keep you up to date on biblical exegesis at this blog. The Friday morning Bible study I am a part of is studying Revelation and in chapters 6 through 9 I found something quite … well…revealing. The New Testament world was in the middle of an ice age!
What is the evidence? Chapters 6 through 9 talk about the seven seals. As we all know, seals live in the artic and cooler climates. Think about it. How would Christians living on the Mediterranean have known about seals? An ice age must have brought the seals south. There must have been an ice age during the New Testament era!
Of course, the theological implications are…....Hey…….Where did everybody go?....(The same thing happened at Bible study. Some people just find my analysis too polarizing.)
definitely a groaner

Oh, I *like* this one. It goes into my 'How to liven up my Bible teaching' file. (Will they let you back in next Friday?)

Hey Michael, At first and second look/reading of this, I was taking you serious. Beware of such in your audience like me!

Ah, it is good to see that at least three people who appreciate my astute insights.
But Ted, I was serious. *grin* Early on in this blogging thing I have had a couple of posts that were a little to subtle. So I have at least learned to catalog things like this under "humor" instead of theology.
