The Kansas City Royals escaped the cellar of Major League Baseball by beating the Tigers 10-8. That gives them a record of 62-100, one-half game better than the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at 61-100. Meanwhile, Detroit, who held first place in the division for almost the entire season, slipped out of first on the last day, handing the division to the Twins. I am cheering for the Cards in the NL, and all I know is I will not be cheering for Babylon ... er... I mean... the Yankees in the AL. I probably will have to go with Twins.

I was hoping we'd lose today, if only to give us the first pick in the draft next year...

Not a bad idea. Although I think we need a lot more than good draft picks.

I though this would make the Irish Pastor in VA happy. :)
