My friend Dave Stanley, pastor and executive director of Joshua Tent, told me this afternoon that one of the young guys he works with came home yesterday to find his mother dead. She had been battling sickle cell all her life, and her death appears to be in relation to the disease. It was just this guy and his Mom living together, and he has now moved down the street to live with his aunt. As you can imagine, he is hurting deeply. If you think of it over the next few days, please pray for this young man and for Dave as he ministers to him.
