That is a remarkable correlation. Not sure what the data actually indicate (i.e. what factor this represents) - but I must admit the correlation itself is almost shocking.

Will, I suspect that the willingness to apologize is simply a manifestation of character traits that lead to greater incom as opposed to the cause. Business is ultimately about relating to other people. I suspect that people who are the most confident in themselves are the ones who are least afraid to apologize. That confidence aids the in working with other people.

Don't know if that is exactly it but something close to that is my guess.
