One significant reason why you don't see more ethnic minorities on Seminary staff is the lack of funding and in some cases interest, in advanced theological education necessary to be on a faculty. This, coupled with the fact that theological institutions are struggling to survive as they are, probably signals that we need to look beyond PhDs to discern who is well qualified to deliver wisdom and instruction to future church leaders.

Perhaps we are trying to hard to squeeze people into a problematic model, rather than changing the model to expose ourselves to more learning from ethnic minority leaders.
