Over the past month I did a book discussion series on John Knapp's, How the Church Fails Businesspeople (and what can be done about it.). Each post was orginally posted at Scot McKnight's Jesus Creed blog and then I reposted each entry here at the Kruse Kronicle. Here is an index to the series for those who may be interested:

Michael,
Here is a link to an interesting from AlterNet article about the 40 work week:
http://www.alternet.org/visions/154518/why_we_have_to_go_back_to_a_40-hour_work_week_to_keep_our_sanity
It appeared in a slightly different version in the Sunday op/ed section of the Dallas Morning News yesterday with the title "Bring Back the 40-hr workweek"
I was intrigued by the info about how the passionate Silicon Valley "geek" became the model of the ideal worker via Peters.
I'm guessing that this is about the time that the Buechner definition of vocation with it's focus on passion began to shape the Christian conversation on work. Not sure what that means but it is intriguing.

Hmmm... the link works but part of my comment appears to have gotten cut off in the margin. Here it is in full
