Compacted air autos are controlled by engines driven by packed air, which is put away in a tank at high weight, for example, 30 MPa (4500 psi or 310 bar). As opposed to driving motor cylinders with a lighted fuel-air blend, compacted air autos utilize the extension of packed air, in a comparative way to the development of steam in a steam motor.

There have been model autos since the 1920s, with packed air utilized as a part of torpedo impetus.
